ssh stumble help

I was doing some standard server maintenance, updating packages et cetera, this morning and thought nothing of seeing an SSH update. I logged out.

I could not SSH back in.

Talk about stressful. Thankfully, Hetzner have direct terminal access via their online console, so I was able to get in and find the issue.

To get to the terminal, visit console.hetzner.com, select Servers and open the relevant server. The console can be accessed by pressing the button labelled >_ in the top-right corner.

The SSH issue, by the way, was that the listen.conf needed the IP as well as the port. Changing ListenStream=1234 to ListenStream=0.0.0.0:1234 (not the real port) and running systemctl daemon-reload && systemctl restart ssh.socket was all that was needed.
