trumpet time
Back in March I declared that I was going to learn to play the trumpet this year.
Six months on I've realised that my ambitions far outreach my available time and energy and have forgiven myself for not making any attempt to achieve my goals
by buying a trumpet.
Actually, I've rented one from Dawkes – a woodwind and brass specialist superstore
in Maidenhead – for the poultry amount of £20 per month (plus a £10 shipping fee).
Once it arrives I'm going to be parping away like there's no tomorrow.
Neighbours, be warned.
I'll also be writing about my experience once a week, which should help force me into practicing.
I haven't learned an instrument in over ten years, ignoring the grade-1-athon I participated in at university, so I'm hoping this experience will help inform the way I approach my in-progress how to play the cello website.
Catch you in a week!
